Neither 1 nor 2 were anywhere this playable (as MP games) soon after release date. The armies are super cool, well-balanced, and including lots of the best aspects of 1 and 2. I'm a long time player myself, I think CoH3 actually got a huge number of things right. Maybe it's just that I wish Relic did something with their game, instead of leaving it in a limbo. CoH2 was broken many times after new content dropped, yet it got fixed, and people still play it, and laugh about the infinite range Shermans with rapid-fire main guns. Is the game going to get new stuff, or not? I am of the opinion that they should just release something, balance be damned. I just wish that we had more information from the devs. I'm not going to say anything about potential new factions, since it's way too early in the game's lifecycle to talk about them. They're pretty good all around, though, so that's nice. Although considering how few maps there were at release, that's not saying much. Where are the new commanders? I think they're the single greatest reason on why people are moving away from CoH3 back to 2. Of course, I'm mostly talking about multiplayer here. I think CoH3 has great mechanics, visuals and the gameplay is fun, but there simply isn't enough of it. I'm not sure how many devs are working on more content for CoH3, but to me it feels like a dead game already, which is a huge shame. If you look at Steamcharts, most of the playerbase has moved back to CoH2, and I can see why. So in short, what is going on with this game?ĬoH3 has been out for around six months now, and there's been very, very little content of any kind. I guess that's still true, but at least I can rest easy knowing I've said my piece. I've many times thought about making this post, but every time decided that it won't really matter and it'll be a waste of time.
